Statement of the CHRC: The continued aggression of the Thai military forces against Cambodia is an act of destroying peace and a serious violation of human rights
On 8 December 2025, the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC) issued a statement categorically condemning the inhumane, barbaric, lawless, and criminal acts committed by the Thai military forces against the territorial integrity and innocent citizens of Cambodia along the Cambodia-Thailand border on 7-8 December 2025. The CHRC emphasized that the attacks by Thailand on Cambodian military and civilian positions severely violate international humanitarian law and international human rights law. The CHRC called on the international community, especially the human rights community, to condemn Thailand’s actions and affirmed Cambodia’s unwavering commitment to observing the ceasefire and resolving conflicts through peaceful means.
